Garden Gift & Home began nine years ago as Garden Baby, a children’s shop featuring our own handmade clothing line. Inspired by my new born grandson, I wanted to create baby clothing using natural and organic fibers. What started at local maker’s fairs and farmers markets quickly grew into a store front, and we’ve had our home at 200 N Vienna ever since.

Alongside Garden Baby, I was also running a wholesale drapery workroom, creating custom window treatments, bedding, and soft goods for designers. Over time, those two worlds naturally began to overlap. The shop always held a mix of clothing and home, but it became clear that the heart of the space was expanding.

The name “Garden” has stayed with us. It came from a simple moment talking with my grandson about where our food comes from, and calling him my “garden baby.” As the shop evolved, the name did too. Garden Baby grew up, and today we are Garden Gift & Home.

Now, our focus is on home, gifts, and custom work. Our aesthetic is best described as updated traditional with a bit of whimsy. We often describe our collection as “made and found,” a mix of handcrafted work and carefully sourced goods.

When you walk into the shop, we want it to feel like a treasure box. You may find us unpacking new arrivals, painting furniture, or working through a custom upholstery project. There is almost always the sound of sewing machines in the background. It is a working space as much as it is a retail space.

We are proud to carry a growing collection of goods, including Annie Sloan Chalk Paint, monogrammable tote and beach bags, French soaps and creams, lamps, baskets, and a curated fabric library featuring small-scale designers with distinctive prints.
